In our house, this is the dreaded question that is asked every day. As if collectively we did not know that at the same point in every day, we as a household, would become hungry around 6 or 7 pm. So daily we go through the dance....
"What you wanna eat for dinner?"
"I don't care, what do you feel like eating"
We proceed to list off all the things that we don't want to eat...."sooooo... What do you want?"
I then go and ask my daughter who replies in one of two way...
1) "How about ......?" (Ummmm no.. We are not eating that crap.) OR
2) "I don't know Ma, what do you feel like eating?"
I throw my hands up....
I know this should not be this hard, but the truth is, I can eat the SAME thing EVERYDAY! But I'm trying to accommodate my family here.
The other issue is that I don't have any groceries in the fridge (because I hate the grocery store), and I did not manage my time enough to ask these people I live with what they want in advance so the groceries can be delivered to my house. Not to mention I'm am tired of cooking the same things, throwing out leftovers ('cause we DO NOT eat them), and I'm tired of eating out (thanks to years of traveling for work.)
So what do they want to eat...hell, I don't know, and I got tired of asking. This is where I inserted my executive decision and they would just have to live with it.
I decided to order dinner in the box services. (Find out how I selected the right box for us, here.) That's right, I signed up for Plated (3 meals a week plan) and Green Chef (2 meals a week plan). I figured at least now we only have asked this haunting question 2 days a week, and we can fast the rest of the day. (jk...not...lol)
But seriously, I think it should work out great for us. Stay tuned.
